Hi, I’m Iris, teacher by heart, maker by instinct, and the hands behind ESPUMA Apothecary.

For years, I poured into everyone around me. As a teacher, that’s what we do, we give, we guide, we lift. But somewhere in the middle of all that giving, I forgot something simple: myself.

Soapmaking arrived during a season when life demanded a pause, a moment to breathe, to reconnect, to come home to my own body. What started as a personal ritual slowly became something greater: tiny pockets of calm, crafted with intention, rooted in honest ingredients that felt close to the earth.

That’s how ESPUMA was born.
From the gentle bubbles that rise when natural oils meet water.
From the warmth of a well-deserved bath.
From that soft moment when scent and stillness remind you to slow down.
And Apothecary…because I’ve always been drawn to old-world care, herbs, butters, oils, and simple traditions that supported us long before modern trends existed.

Today, ESPUMA Apothecary is my way of sharing that pause with you.
Every bar is handcrafted with care.
Every blend is grounded in botanicals and nourishing butters.
And our signature tallow, an ingredient with a naturally skin-compatible fatty acid profile, creates a creamy, rich lather that feels like comfort in your hands.

And woven into each bar is an affirmation, a small, intentional reminder meant to meet you in the quiet moments of your day. While you wash, that affirmation gives you something gentle to hold onto… a breath, a pause, a grounding thought. A simple phrase that turns an everyday routine into a moment of care.
